Description
This Board was created to: promote industry and develop trade in the greater Phoenix area; stimulate and encourage the production, development, and use of agricultural products and natural resources; assist financially and otherwise in the rehabilitation, expansion and development of all kinds of business and industries which will promote and assure job opportunities; promote the construction, improvement and equipping of residential real property for dwelling units; and promote and assure an improved standard of living and an increase in prosperity and health.
Meeting Frequency
Meetings will be held on the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. in the Calvin C. Goode Municipal Building, 251 West Washington Street, 9th Floor, Conference Room 910, Phoenix, Arizona. Ad hoc committee meeting times vary.
Board Composition
This Board shall consist of no less than three or more than nine member elected by the Mayor and City Council who must be qualified electors of the City of Phoenix. No member shall be an officer or employee of the City of Phoenix.

Please note not all Boards and Commissions have vacant seats. Meeting frequency and time commitment varies by each Board. Members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council members. If you are interested in multiple boards and commissions list your first four choices on the application. Every effort will be made to accommodate your first preference, but vacancies vary, and demand for some boards may be higher than that for others. As vacancies occur, appointments are made by the Mayor and approved by the City Council.
Some boards require residency within the city of Phoenix. Members may not serve more than two full, consecutive terms and are expected to attend all regularly scheduled and special meetings. Please contact the appropriate department for meeting schedules and locations.
