Sunday Brunch at U.S. VETS
HandsOn invites you to serve up a delicious Sunday brunch at U.S. VETS! From pancakes to cheesy-grits, over 60 veterans will be appreciative of the food you prepare. Your help will also be needed to clean up the kitchen and dining room following the brunch. U.S. VETS provides housing, counseling, job assistance, and hope to thousands of homeless veterans each year. Their programs foster the skills necessary for every veteran to return to the community and remain self-sufficient.
The minimum age to volunteer is 18 years old. Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and dress for preparing food. Long hair should be pulled back or wear a hat. Plastic aprons and gloves will be provided in the kitchen. Volunteers will be serving the vets in the Cloudbreak kitchen.
By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to volunteer and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court related documents.
