Branching Out with Trees Matter
Join us at our Valley-wide Shade Tree projects with Trees Matter! They inspire sustainable urban living through education, community involvement and creative cooperation. Help us to get more shade trees planted throughout the valley! More trees create more oxygen for us to breathe, and ultimately the shade trees will help mitigate the cost and usage of utilities for home owners. Volunteers are needed to work the registration table, sign up attendees upon arrival, assist in workshops, verify trees, as well as retrieve trees & distribute them to the attendees.
As a way to reach more people, the location for this project is different each Saturday. Please bring drinking water and wear comfortable shoes & clothes to get dirty in! The minimum age requirement for this volunteer opportunity is 12 years old with a parent. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 who are attending a project without a parent/guardian MUST bring a Youth Waiver, signed by a parent or guardian, to each project.
By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does NOT accept court ordered volunteers and will NOT sign off on any court-related documents.
