Be Disaster Aware, Take Action to Prepare Expo (Referral)
"Be Disaster Aware, Take Action Prepare" Expo at Metrocenter Mall is looking for volunteers who are interested in emergency preparedness. The Maricopa County Public Health Department is sponsoring the event and is the lead agency coordinating the volunteers. The event is from 9AM-2PM on Saturday September 6th. Public Health t-shirts, water and snacks will be provided for volunteers during the event. The volunteering responsibilities will be directing people attending the expo to tables sponsored by various agency’s such as The Red Cross, SPR and the Phoenix Fire Department, help sponsors direct guest during workshops for disaster preparedness and hand out "passports" for the visitors to qualify for giveaways. The event will be attended by people of all ages. Bilingual volunteers are encouraged to participate. Details on location in the mall to meet will be updated closer to the event.
