Food Distribution Maitre D's at St. Mary's Food Bank Distribution Center
Food Distribution Maître d's are needed at the Friday Food Bank at St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance, where they provide more than 500 families per day with nutritional assistance. Volunteers are needed in various roles:
Cart Pushers - Volunteers push the carts to each food station for filling, take them to get weighed, and assist the person receiving services to their automobiles, bicylces, etc.
Data Entry-Greets and intakes clients and helps make them feel welcomed.
All volunteers aged 16 and 17 who wish to attend a volunteer opportunity without a parent MUST bring a signed Youth Volunteer Waiver. Minimum age to volunteer is 12 years old with a parent or guardian. Please remember to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Tank tops are not allowed to be worn at this event, all volunteers must wear shirts with sleeves, so plan accordingly.
Parking is available along the North side in front of the volunteer entrance.
By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court-related documents.
