Shop Keepers at Maggie's Thrift
Join us at Maggie's Thrift for a fun filled day of donation sorting, sifting and pricing clothing, and general store up keep. Maggie's Thrift is a social enterprise project owned and operated by Maggie's Place, a community that provides homes for expectant women. The thrift store advances the mission of Maggie's Place by creating job training for the women, bringing in revenue, and as an outlet for distributing excess donations into the community. Volunteers will have fun meeting new people and learning about thrift store-retail operations.
The minimum age for this volunteer opportunity is 10. All volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent. Those aged 16 and 17 who wish to attend the project MUST bring a signed Youth Volunteer Waiver to each volunteer opportunity. Remember to wear clothes that you can work in and comfortable closed-toe shoes. Parking is available in the East lot next to the Circle K. Maggie's Place can always use maternity and baby clothes, so feel free to bring your donations with you!
By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court-related documents.
