A last minute change in venue means United Food Bank is in desperate need of up to 10 volunteers to assist with a Mobile Food Pantry on Friday, November 20th, in Florence. Volunteers from the Phoenix area and Florence area are needed to help set up for the pantry under the supervision of UFB staff members, assist with food distribution to families and individuals in need, and closing up. A Mobile Pantry is a temporary food pantry, often set up in a public area, such as a park, to serve as an interim food support for the food-insecure population when a permanent food pantry is not available. Make a big difference for the people of Florence and the surrounding area for Thanksgiving. Join the team and lend a hand! Carpooling with UFB staff, or caravan from UFB Office, may be availabe. Please inquire. Team leaves 245 S Nina Drive, Mesa, AZ at 6am. Florence area volunteers will meet locally with UFB team at 7am. Location to be provided.
