Help Thank United Food Bank's Supporters at Annual Breakfast (Referral)
Friends of United Food Bank give so much of their time, in-kind donations, and in other ways, that they are the lifeblood of the organization. Without them, United Food Bank wouldn't be able to function. Once a year, we hold a breakfast to thank them for all that they do.
Help us thank them and recognize their good work!
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Gift Bag Team: Help build 400 gift bags, assembly-line style This is a high energy activity great for volunteers 8 and up. This is a standing-only activity. Closed toed shoes are required. Shift is Thursday, April 21, 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in Administrative Conference Room.

Setup Volunteers: High energy volunteers sought to turn our warehouse from drab to FAB! Stage the space with tables, chairs, high tops and food stations. Court-related volunteers may be considered as early as April 20th - see contact information below. Shift is Monday, April 25, 1pm to 4pm in the Nina Warehouse.

Registration Volunteers: Cheerful, social volunteers are needed to greet guests, check them in, and give them nametags. Ideal volunteers work well when under the pressure of guests anxious to check in. Registration will be outdoors, so hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. Shift is 6:30 am to 10am Tuesday, April 26 in the Nina Warehouse.

Direction / Parking Volunteers: help set our outdoor signage, blow up balloons to stage near signage, direct traffic for parking and into our facility. Volunteers will be outdoors, so hats, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended. Shift is 6:30 am to 10am Tuesday, April 26 in the Nina Warehouse.

Hospitality Volunteers: serve as hospitality hosts in a variety of areas to help keep lines moving smoothly and effectively at registration and food service lines, show guests to their tables, collect nametags at the end of the event. Shift is 6:30 am to 10am Tuesday, April 26 in the Nina Warehouse.

Floating Volunteers: Are you flexible? Want to be involved in a little bit of everything or on some special roles? Want to be surprised? We're looking for volunteers who can help fill in wherever they may be needed. Shift is 6:30 am to 10am Tuesday, April 26 in the Nina Warehouse.

NOTES ABOUT THIS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY:
Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for a breakfast event (blouse or golf-shirt, nice jeans, khakis, capris) and CLOSED TOED shoes (no flip-flops, sandals, or peep-toes are permitted; sneakers are ideal). Please keep clothing family-friendly (no bare midriffs, tank tops, or shorts, skirts or dresses shorter than fingertip length).
No partial shifts are available for these opportunities. Volunteers are asked to commit to the full duration of their scheduled shift.
A volunteer application is required for all new volunteers. See our signup page to download a copy, or complete one at your shift / orientation.
ORIENTATION:
A short 30 minute orientation for this event will be held Friday, April 22nd, at 10am and 5:30pm. All event-day participants are strongly encouraged to attend. Event-day volunteers unable to attend, please notify Melia Smith at msmith@unitedfoodbank.org.

QUALIFIED VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteers must be 18 years of age. Gift Bag volunteers may be as young as 8. Volunteers 8-11 must be accompanied by an adult (2:1). Volunteers 12-15 must also be accompanied by an adult (parent assesses required supervision ratio). Volunteers 16 and 17 my volunteer with a parent's signature on their waiver.
This activity has been scheduled based on needs anticipated at the time of posting. United Food Bank’s volunteer activities are subject to change based on changing needs and circumstances without notice. This opportunity is not be available for court-related volunteers, except for Set-up; please contact UFB at 480-926-4897 to speak with a staff member about scheduling court-related volunteer service; court volunteers may not sign up online.
