9/11: Meal Service at US Vets
This 9/11 Tribute Project will be a fun social event engaging with our community's veterans. Come on down to U.S. VETS and show our vets how much they are appreciated. We need your help preparing and serving lunch for the veterans living in the U.S. VETS transitional living facility. U.S. Vets is a private non-profit organization that provides housing, employment and counseling resources to our nation's veterans. The minimum age requirement for this project is 12 years old. Volunteers should bring water, wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothes. By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court-related documents.
