Smoke Alarm Installation (Referral)
Just 5 hours of your time can make a lifetime difference! Volunteer on a team to install free smoke alarms and inform families of fire safety tips in at-risk homes in Phoenix as we partner with the Phoenix Fire Department and American Red Cross from 8am-1pm on Saturday, October 14, 2017. All training and tools are provided the day of the event. Wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing as the event does involve a bit of walking through neighborhoods. We always need installers AND "record keepers". We will be meeting at the south parking lot of Desert Sky Mall for training at 8:30am. Volunteers will then be divided into teams and head out into the surrounding neighborhoods at 9:00am. We will be targeting about 4000 homes during this event. We install a FREE smoke alarm in each home where we are admitted.
