Did you think volunteering with HandsOn was limited to only Phoenix opportunities? Think again! We provide direct volunteer service to many Arizona communities by offering projects that help feed the hungry, support homeless families, provide puppy pal services for shelter dogs, and so much more!
HandsOn offers an array of purposeful volunteer projects that benefit so many East Valley residents such as the Mesa playground restoration project pictured above. Our staff works with partner organizations in Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and all across the Valley to identify their most pressing needs. We then create projects to bridge the gaps, and recruit, train, and deploy teams of volunteers to make a difference.
We provide volunteers flexible opportunities to ensure that community service is accessible to all. Join the many other Mesa and East Valley residents who are making meaningful, rewarding contributions to their communities through HandsOn.
It’s easy to get started! If you’re 19 and older, all you need to do is:
- Register an account with us.
- Complete a New Volunteer Orientation online or in person.
- Pay a one-time activation fee of $25.* See how we use those activation fees, and why financial support is so important to our work.
Your payment will do three things: allow you to pick up a free t-shirt at the HandsOn Greater Phoenix office, give you access to our full calendar of well-managed, high-impact volunteer projects and support our ability to continue organizing them for you.
*You will be asked to submit payment at the conclusion of the New Volunteer Orientation. We also can provide a financial hardship fee waiver, if necessary. Volunteers may also opt not to pay the activation fee and receive access only to select calendar projects, select special days of service and Referral Projects.
