Volunteer for Hospice (Referral)
As a volunteer, you will be an important part of the hospice team, allowing patients to remain comfortably and safely at home while experiencing their end-of-life journey. There is no hand-on care required. As a volunteer, you can offer companionship, respite to a caregiver, pet-visits, helping with errands or household chores, and more.
Our patients live at home all over the Valley. After an orientation period, you will be matched with a family in a location convenient for you. You can choose to offer socialization, respite, or both. We also have opportunities for therapy pet visits, music and memory volunteers, and more.
There is a background check and health screening required for this opportunity, at no cost to you. Typical volunteer assignments are 1-3 hour visits, 2-4 times per month. You can arrange your own schedule and choose your own assignments.
