Newsletter Author (Referral)

The newsletter author writes or requests articles for the P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. newsletter by consulting with P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. officials, advisory panel members, board members, parents, researcher and other interested parties. The author creates the quarterly newsletter in the P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. Center database, Vertical Response by combining print, pictures, and HTMLs to create a professional publication that can be sent to the P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. contact list. Specific Responsibilities: Conducts independent research to write articles for the P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. newsletter. Sends notices to P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. officials, advisory panel members, board members, parents, P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. researcher, and other interested parties to request articles related to feeding issues for the newsletter; Follows up with reminders or thank you notes to individuals who agree to submit articles; Combines print, pictures and HTMLs, into the newsletter template provided by Vertical Response to create a professional newsletter for the P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. Center; Works closely with the P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. Executive Director for approval of articles in the newsletter; submits newsletter draft for approval by the Executive Director; publishes the newsletter and sends to the contact list by the deadline date. The P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E. newsletter is produced four times a year and sent to P.O.P.S.I.C.L.E.’s contact list in Salesforce. Qualifications Needed: Strong writing and research skills, ability to meet deadlines and works independently as well as part of a team. Ability to create a newsletter in Vertical Response and use HTMLs, pictures, and print to create a professional document. 4 volunteers – Three to collect information, one to layout the newsletter.
