Lawn Games at the Lodestar Day Resource Center

Spike, serve, swing & catch! Volunteers are needed to participate in lawn games with homeless clients at the Lodestar Day Resource Center, a safe, engaging, holistic community that empowers people to end their homelessness and create positive, long-term life changes. Homeless adults are often isolated from the community, and greatly benefit from engaging with other adults from all different backgrounds.

The 18 years old is the minimum age requirement for this project. Volunteers should bring water and wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Parking can be found near 12th Avenue and Madison Street at the south end of 12th Avenue. Drive south on 12th Avenue through the open gate of the Human Services Campus, and park in the parking lot. Meet at the Lodestar Day Resource Center, the building located on the east side of the campus.

By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court-related documents.
