Canvass to College! (Referral)
Vista College Prep is a new K-5 charter school serving the Central City South Community. We are committed to the belief that demographics do not determine destiny and all students deserve a quality education. We just signed a lease on a facility and now we need to get the word out to parents and families. We will be canvassing the Central City South Community to inform parents about VCP! We will provide breakfast, volunteer training and a free Vista College Prep shirt!
Where: Volunteers will meet for breakfast and training, and reconvene after canvassing at the Harmon Park (5th Ave. just south of Buckeye). We will have a table set-up outside in the park for our brief training and breakfast.
When: We have two opportunities to engage: Saturday, May 18 8:30 AM-1:00 PM & Saturday, May 25 8:30 AM-1:00 PM The events take place rain or shine!
Both events will begin with breakfast and comprehensive training before you embark with a partner/group to collect registration forms. This is a grassroots effort and we will be going door-to-door to talk to families about Vista College Prep. You will have the opportunity to meet other energetic volunteers and be involved in improving educational opportunities for youth in Phoenix.
