Trailblazing at White Tank Regional Park

At nearly 30,000 acres the White Tank Regional Park is the largest in Maricopa County. The park is primarily made up of the rugged and beautiful White Tank Mountains. Volunteers are needed to perform much needed trail maintenance.

The minimum age requirement for this volunteer opportunity is 16 years old with a parent or guardian. 16 & 17 year old volunteers must attend with a parent or guardian. This volunteer project will go on rain or shine! Come dressed for hard labor and outdoor work - hats, sun glasses, long pants, work boots or tennis shoes, and plenty of sun block and water will be needed! Please be prepared for the possibility of interaction with various allergy inducing wildlife, including bees, desert species and various plant species. Work gloves will be provided. Click here to view the park map.

Parking is available at the White Tank Regional Park Library, just north of the park entrance. Volunteers should meet the Nature Center building between 7:45am and 8:00am on the date of project.

By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court-related documents.
