MLK 2014: Let's Grow with Sidney P. Osborn

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve." Each year, Americans across the country come together on the King Holiday to serve their communities.

Join us at Let's Grow: Sydney P. Osborn for a special garden harvest project in honor of Dr. King's commitment to those living in poverty. We will harvest as well as continue to improve the garden area!

We are seeking volunteers to help with the harvest as well as various garden projects such as preparing garden beds, planting, weeding, building garden structures, irrigation and watering.

The minimum age to volunteer without a parent or guardian is 16 years old. Volunteers who are 16 & 17 coming without a parent or guardian need to bring a signed
Youth Waiver Form. Volunteers should wear clothes that can get dirt and closed-toe shoes.

By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court related documents.

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
