Love Your Block Neighborhood Revitalization with City of Mesa
We need your help as we continue our City of Mesa Love Your Block campaign at retention basin 419! Volunteers are needed to paint exterior walls that enclose the basin as well as pass out information on reporting graffiti in the neighborhood.
Love Your Block is a tested, high-impact service strategy in which the City of Mesa Mayor's Office engages community members in revitalizing their neighborhoods one block at a time. Through Love Your Block Mesa, the Mayor's Office, in partnership with Cities of Service, Mesa City Council and City Manager's Office, will draw on the strong tradition of service already present within our community. Residents will contribute in building their community, assisting other residents and maintaining quality neighborhoods through volunteer supported activities. The City of Mesa Mayor's office has partnered with HandsOn Greater Phoenix, city departments and local community groups to:
Build on the culture of service within our community
Recruit, train and manage volunteers
Identify neighborhoods and residents in need of assistance.
The minimum age for this project is 13. Volunteer's ages 16 & 17 who wish to participate without a parent/guardian must bring a signed Youth Waiver Form with them to the project.
The City of Mesa also requires volunteers under 18 to bring a signed City of Mesa Youth Waiver form with them to the project.
By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support.
Thanks for your support! We look forward to seeing you at the project!
