Toolbank Assistants at Phoenix Community Toolbank
The Phoenix Community ToolBank was founded in 2013 as an affiliate of ToolBank USA. The ToolBank has an inventory of tools for lending to charitable organizations so these groups can increase the impact of their mission-related efforts in the community. On hand, the toolbank has these typical tools to borrow: work gloves, hammers, cordless drills, ladders, wheelbarrows, paint trays, shovels, circular saws, measuring tapes, safety cones, rakes and MORE!
HandsOn volunteers are needed on a Friday morning to help with processing toolbank orders by selecting tools from corresponding areas, ongoing tool maintenance (cleaning, etc), tool branding (repainting handles blue), and other various needs of the toolbank to serve community organizations. You serve as vital assistance to Toolbank staff in allowing the organization to bring their resources to more individuals. Volunteers should bring a reusable waterbottle to stay hydrated and wear comfortable, loose-fitting work clothes that can get dirty, and closed-toed shoes or work boots.
The minimum age for this project is 16 years old with parent or guardian and 18 without one. By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunities of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does NOT accept court ordered volunteers and will NOT sign off on any court-related documents.
