Parks Foundation 5K Run for Our Parks (Referral)

The Phoenix Parks Foundation is seeking 15 volunteers on Sunday, April 2nd from 6 am to 10:30 am to assist with the 5K Run for Our Parks at Papago Park.  Volunteers will perform the following duties:

PARKING MANAGEMENT:
(5 - 7)  Volunteers needed for directing participants into the overflow parking lot in the Phoenix Zoo.  There will be ample signage with arrows however, we want to ensure all participants know where they are supposed to park.  The Papago Parking lot will not be open to the public.

REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN:
(2-3) Volunteers to assist with late registrants.  Check in participants who were unable to attend the race packet pick up days.  PPF will provide an alphabetical box of those remaining packets.

COMMUNITY EVENT EXPO:
(2) Volunteers to help manage the community event expo area in the Papago Parking lot.  Volunteers will manage check in of expo participants, ensure they are setting up in a timely fashion and refer to contact list should they not be on-site when they should be to set-up/man their booth.

WATER STATIONS:
(2) Volunteers will help set up the water stations.  Using a ranger gator, one will be set up on the 5k course at the 1/2 way point.  Will provide map and assistance in reaching the 1/2 way point.  The other will be in the parking lot area adjacent to where Food City will feature fruit and bagels.
