Welcome to HandsOn Greater Phoenix

We're so glad you're here! You are just steps away from becoming part of the largest volunteer network in the nation.

We strive to meet the needs of the local community by providing even the busiest individuals ways to address the Valley's most crucial issues. To become a member, you'll first need to register an account with us. We then ask that all volunteers complete a New Volunteer Orientation before attending any of our projects. We want our volunteers to understand what we're trying to accomplish and how we operate. After completing orientation, you have the opportunity to choose just how involved you'd like to be:

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

• FULL ACCESS (volunteers ages 19+ who pay the activation fee or receive a financial waiver and all volunteers ages 18 or under)  - Unlimited access to our 60+ direct service Calendar Projects occurring each month, and a free HandsOn Volunteer t-shirt.
• LIMITED ACCESS (volunteers ages 19+ who opt not to pay the activation fee) - Access to the Calendar Projects listed below. 

• Search and sign up for Referral Projects posted and managed by our partner agencies.
• Participate in our BIG Days of Service.
• Keep track of their volunteer hours with an account on our user-friendly website.
• Connect with like-minded individuals in your community who are equally passionate about giving back.
• Receive our electronic newsletter with important information about service opportunities, trainings and more!

Before you start volunteering with us, there are a few things we will ask you to do. But first . . .

Ages 19+

All you need to do is:

1. Register an account with us.
2. Complete a New Volunteer Orientation online or in person.
3. Pay a one-time activation fee of $25, which may be tax-deductible*.

Your payment will do three things: allow you to pick up a free t-shirt at the HandsOn Greater Phoenix office, give you access to our full calendar of well-managed, high-impact volunteer projects and support our ability to continue organizing them for you.

*You will be asked to submit payment at the conclusion of the New Volunteer Orientation. We also can provide a financial hardship fee waiver, if necessary. Volunteers may also opt not to pay the activation fee and receive access only to select calendar projects, select special days of service and Referral Projects.

Ages 16 - 18

All you need to do is:

1. Register an account with us.
2. Complete a New Volunteer Orientation online or in person.

New volunteers ages 18 and under are NOT asked to pay an activation fee. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 who aren't attending a proejct with a parent/guardian MUST bring a Youth Waiver, signed by a parent or guardian, to each project.

Ages 13 - 15

We encourage volunteers in this category to:

1. Register an account with us.
2. Complete a New Volunteer Orientation online or in person.

However, because youth ages 15 and under are not allowed to attend projects without a parent or guardian, it is not required. We do ask parents and guardians to adhere to the requirements for volunteers ages 19+.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, children must be at least 13 years old to create an online account.

Family Volunteer Registration

Parents and guardians, you simply need to register for the projects you want to attend with your children aged 15 and under. Be sure to pay special attention to the minimum age requirements posted with each project. Once registered, contact the Project Leader or HandsOn office to add your child or children to the project.

Group Volunteer Registration

For our calendar of 60+ projects, each individual member of your group will need to:

1. Register an account with us.
2. Complete a New Volunteer Orientation online or in person.
3. Pay a $25 activation fee* (for ages 19+ only).
4. Sign up for the specific project.

Group registration is available for our BIG Days of Service. We also offer custom projects for corporate groups through our Business Services program.
