Fall Into Service: Gardening with St. Vincent de Paul
Fall into Service and join HandsOn at St. Vincent de Paul's Main Campus Urban Farm! We will spend the morning planting, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, washing produce, removing trees, and more!
St. Vincent de Paul's three urban farms provide 33,000 pounds of produce, which helps feed individuals and families experiencing homelessness and food insecurity.
Please wear Closed-toe shoes, and clothes that can get dirty. Bring SPF and a reusable water bottle.
The minimum age for this volunteer opportunity is 8 with a parent or guardian. All Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 who aren't attending a project with a parent/guardian MUST bring a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian, to each project.
If you would like to register your child, please email the opportunity coordinator listed below and ask to reserve a guest slot. Please note, volunteers 13 years or older can create their own HandsOn account and sign up for opportunities directly (activation fee is not applicable for those under the age of 16).
