MLK 2015: Neighbors Helping Neighbors with the City of Phoenix
Phoenix area residents! Time to lend a neighbor a helping hand as part of the 2015 Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend of Service!
Volunteers are needed to assist the City of Phoenix with residential clean up projects. As a neighbor helping a neighbor, you will help promote community pride and beautiful neighborhoods around the city. One property per month will be in need of weed clean up, mowing, dead tree/branch removal, and trash pickup around each property. A representative from the City of Phoenix will be on-site as you perform your duties and will coordinate necessary resources to achieve the mission of each project.
It is recommended that our volunteers wear sturdy work boots/shoes or tennis shoes with thick rubber. You will need to pace yourself and make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the project duration. Thank you for participating, and we look forward to seeing you at the project.
The minimum age for this opportunity is 12 years old with parent.
By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does not accept court ordered volunteers and will not sign off on any court-related documents.
