Flutter/iOS/Python Developers (to become paid)-Protecting Kids Online!(Referral)

As part of DEFEND’s Tech Team, the Virtual Flutter/iOS/Python Developer will contribute to the design and development of DEFEND’s projects, including 65square. This role involves creating, refining, and testing concepts for our social media platform using Flutter (Dart), iOS (Swift), and Python. We're looking for both developers and supervisors who are passionate about online safety and keen to contribute to a meaningful cause. Indicate your preferred role when applying.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Development: Assess and analyze the project’s technological needs, ensuring alignment with DEFEND’s mission.
Coding & Implementation: Write, develop, and maintain code in Dart, Swift, or Python to build and enhance core functionalities.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Tech Team to create and implement a strategic roadmap for the 65square platform.
Team Collaboration: Meet regularly with other DEFEND and 65square team members on a weekly basis to brainstorm and coordinate efforts.
Supervision (if applicable): Oversee junior developers, providing guidance and support to ensure project consistency and quality.

Qualifications

Experience with Flutter (Dart), iOS (Swift), or Python development; familiarity with multiple languages is a plus.
Prior experience developing apps or social media platforms is beneficial.
Strong understanding of application security and data protection principles.
Ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team environment and meet project deadlines.
Commitment: 3-5 hours per week to start, with the potential for a more extensive commitment in the future.
