Organization Profile

Maricopa County Public Health Office of Preparedness & Response

The mission of the MCDPH-OPR Volunteer Program is to increase the accessibility of organized, trained, and prepared volunteers to assist in the response of a public health emergency. In providing volunteer opportunities the MCDPH-OPR Volunteer Program offers the commitment and structure necessary for accomplishing the preparedness and response goals of the Department. Response by volunteers will be needed in the event the community faces a natural, man-made, technological disaster or terrorist activities. Immediate and effective response to these disasters can be accomplished by providing the recruitment, training, effective involvement, support, placement, and recognition that volunteers need to ensure a positive and productive volunteer work experience.
