Kid Connection at the Watkins Shelter
Volunteers will spend quality time with children at the Watkins overflow homeless shelter. Arts & crafts, reading, writing, games, and fun literacy-based activities are par for the course at this volunteer opportunity. Volunteers will get to meet new people and learn about how homelessness affects children. Make a difference in a child's day!
The minimum age for this volunteer opportunity is 6 with a parent/guardian, and 16 without a parent/guardian. All volunteers ages 16 & 17 who wish to attend without a parent MUST bring a signed Youth Volunteer Waiver to each project.
By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate as well as the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does NOT accept court ordered volunteers and will NOT sign off on any court-related documents.
