Opportunity Details

Science Kids with the Salvation Army's Emergency Shelter

Join us as we head to The Salvation Army and work with children to teach them about science through fun and creative mini experiments. This educational project is designed to combine fun and learning to spark a child's inner mad scientist. No type of experience is necessary. The minimum age for this opportunity is 12 with a parent/guardian or 18 without a parent/guardian.

Face masks are still required for all volunteers. Volunteers should read, print and sign our COVID-19 VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT and review our new Safety Guidelines for Volunteering in Person prior to signing up and attending this project.

By signing up for volunteer opportunities and not attending, you may be depriving someone else the chance to participate and the volunteer opportunity of much-needed support. Please note that in an effort to accommodate volunteers who sign up for opportunities by choice, HandsOn does NOT accept court ordered volunteers and will NOT sign off on any court-related documents.

The opportunity date and time you are looking for is no longer available.
