Holiday Meal Clean-Up and Maintenance Crew
Join us on Christmas morning as we greet the guests who attend the Salvation Army Christmas Lunch at the Phoenix Convention Center. This year we are expecting over 3,000 guests to join us for lunch.
The Maintenance & Clean Up Crew will be stationed around the venue and help ensure a clean and safe environment for all guests.
- The first volunteer shift will meet at 9:00am and finish by 1:00pm. Volunteers will be stationed in the Greeter Area and Hair Salon, cleaning up spills, watching for hazards, supporting beverage service, and other activities being held in the Greeter Area.
- The second shift will meet at 11:00am and finish by 2:00pm. Volunteers will be stationed in the Dining Room & Hall of Joy, and will assist with clean up at the end of the event.
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
A few days prior to Christmas, you will receive information on parking and the check-in location. Wear comfortable shoes, casual clothes (a bright holiday shirt is great) and bring a bottle of water if you choose, but no purses or coats, there is no place to store your belongings.
SIGN UP REQUIREMENTS: ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST REGISTER ON THIS SITE IN ORDER TO ATTEND!! IF YOU PLAN TO BRING A GUEST OR KIDS, YOU MUST EMAIL MOLLY@HANDSONPHOENIX.ORG IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR SIGN UP AND PROVIDE ALL VOLUNTEER NAMES AND AGES (if under 18). DUE TO SECURITY REQUIREMENTS, IF A NAME IS NOT ON THE LIST, THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO STAY AND VOLUNTEER.
ONCE THE PROJECT IS FULL, YOU MAY ADD YOUR NAME TO THE WAITLIST IN CASE ANYONE DROPS OUT.
