Step Up the Neighborhood Cleanup and Zero Waste Workshop-2nd Location (Referral)

In honor of National Be A Good Neighbor Day, the City of Phoenix is proud to host Step Up the Neighborhood Day on Friday, September 26, 2025. The day begins with check-in at 7:45 a.m., followed by the official start at 8:00 a.m. This event is designed to bring the community together for a morning of hands-on service and learning, all centered around the theme of environmental stewardship and neighborly care.

The first part of the day will focus on a neighborhood cleanup, where volunteers will help collect trash, remove weeds, and learn how to use the City’s 311 app to report environmental concerns. This is a great opportunity to make a visible impact in your local area while connecting with fellow residents who care about keeping Phoenix beautiful.

Following the cleanup, participants will enjoy a zero waste workshop presented by the City of Phoenix Zero Waste Team. The workshop will include practical tips for reducing household waste and a short presentation on how to shop sustainably through zero waste grocery practices. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided to keep everyone energized and engaged.
