Community Garden Workers with Keep Phoenix Beautiful
Keep Phoenix Beautiful envisions a vibrant Phoenix where each neighborhood is a healthy, beautiful place to live. Every day, Keep Phoenix Beautiful provides tools to empower our diverse communities to improve overall quality of life.
Spend your morning at KPB's Pierson Street Garden and help maintain and enhance this amazing resource for the local community! Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks which may include planting flowers & produce, building compost bins, revamping the chicken coop, painting tables and garden beds, spreading mulch, clearing trash, and removing weeds. Lighter duties may include organizing the barn, wiping down recycling bins, folding t-shirts, organizing gloves, and prepping cleanup kits.
Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, and comfy clothes that can get dirty. Bring SPF and a hat. Water and snacks will be provided on site, but bringing water is always recommended!
Please park behind the garden in the Metro Light Rail – Park and Ride parking lot and enter through the gate at the back entrance of the garden!
The minimum age for this volunteer opportunity is 7 with a parent or guardian. All Volunteers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 who aren't attending a project with a parent/guardian MUST bring a Youth Waiver signed by a parent or guardian, to each project.
