Organization Profile

Reentry and Preparedness (REAP) is an Arizona 501(c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit with legal status as of 2009. Its purpose is to increase economic and social viability among those people living on Native American reservations and other indigenous peoples who are redeveloping a relationship with society after a long absence such as long term unemployment, veteran status, long term illness or other stressful situations. REAP is developing comprehensive training for establishing worker owned cooperatives and creating knowledge teams for greenhouse construction and fresh food production for local self-sufficiency. This and other cooperatives in home building, renewable energy, tool making, textiles and more are to be developed through indigenous knowledge teams on tribal land in America and in developing nations.
