At One Small Step we help children, families, and individuals in need to attain a more productive life by providing high quality clothes, shoes, and other services. To meet the needs of the community we offer four main programs. Our Clothes Cabin, clothing bank is open to anyone in need and offers mobile outreach into communities where transportation is a barrier to receiving help. In addition to our facility in Gilbert we also provide clothing through large outreach events held at local schools, churches, and community events through Threads on Treads. Threads on Treads provides 15+ large scale giving events held in communities where needs are high and transporation to services at One Small Step my be a barrier. We target title 1 schools, food box distribution centers, community resource fairs, and more. Some Threads on Treads are general clothing and resource share events and some are more targeted like "Suit Up" which provides semi-formal and formal menswear to high school students who need them for important life and school events. Our Back to Work program provides expensive uniform items to individuals who have obtained a job and need them to begin work. Our Homeless Assistance Program offers lockers, mailboxes, laundry and showers. Our Community Classroom provides a variety of classes, training, and groups that are focused on support services, parenting, job training, and life skills. All of the programs at One Small Step are free to the community.
