There are plenty of volunteer opportunities and organizations to give to this holiday season across the Phoenix Valley. Check out the projects below to donate time or supplies to help those in need during the holidays.

Holiday Volunteer Opportunities:

Help HandsOn give the gift of joy this holiday season! Our organization has committed to donating Christmas gifts to the residents of Maggie's Place's Michael House. With an easy push of a button, you can donate items from the Michael House Holiday Wishlist to purchase items that will be sent right to our door. Check out our Amazon wishlist to help spread holiday cheer to moms and babies.

Salvation Army- SA has a variety of offerings this holiday season, including its annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas Dinner, which provides a holiday meal and lots of fun activities for about 3,000 guests.

Special Olympics- Help collect toy donations outside Walmart locations around the Valley for Operation Santa Claus!

Adopt a Family with HELP- Help make dreams come true for families in need by adopting a family, or volunteer to support gift intake and wrapping.

Holiday Gift Drop-Off - support with Save the Family- This outdoor event gives volunteers the chance to help donors unload gifts for families, organize donations, guide traffic, and spread holiday cheer!

St. Mary’s Food Bank- volunteers are needed to pack food boxes and distribute food during the busy holiday season.

In-Kind Donation Drives:

Paz de Cristo Turkey Drive- Help Paz de Cristo provide Thanksgiving turkeys to members of the local community. Drop off at 424 W Broadway Road in Mesa- Tuesday, November 18th through Monday, November 24th 10am-2pm

St Vincent de Paul- Help out with Turkey Tuesday- the largest one-day turkey drive in the U.S. This month-long drive collects frozen turkeys and monetary donations to provide Thanksgiving meals for families in need across Arizona.

Lighthouse for Hope- Lighthouse For Hope’s adopt-a-family program, Holidays For Hope, is all about providing hope and light for those facing childhood cancer. You can choose to sponsor an entire family (ideal for groups, businesses, or other families), you can shop their master Amazon List full of items and supplies that will be distributed between families, or you can host a supply drive!

The Foster Alliance Holiday Toy Drive- The Foster Alliance (formerly Arizona Helping Hands) is collecting toys for foster families! Attend one of their Stuff the Sleigh events to drop off toys in-person, or shop their Amazon list.

Lutheran Social Services is collecting robes, slippers, and toys for neighbors in need! You can donate, or volunteer to help collect, organize, and distribute gifts.

Toys for Tots donations- Ensure every child receives a gift this holiday season by donating toys through the Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots.
